As of Today

And we are off to the races. I have amassed enough work to feel confident in claiming I am an artist, kind of a strange feeling. The blog will be a sort of public journal of my Carrer achievements until I hit a point where my words carry a weight, artistically.

Next stop in my education is the Haystack School in Maine. I am going for a painting workshop ran by Ziba Rajabi, who has taken her work to places I aspire to. International residencies, workshops, and exhibits are all among the things that I cannot wait to be a part of. Speaking of, after the workshop at haystack I have a solo show with Waldo’s in Gettysburg! Waldo’s is a lovely artist ran gallery, coffee shop, and studio and none of it would have happened if not for the hospitality of Chris Lauer, the director. All the while I’ll be submitting to just about any open call and adding to the portfolio. I am hoping that opening up online will reveal something about me and my art alike to the people who wander here. Giving me a path not reliant on an institution, but on me and the community I build.

Thank you, until the next stop on the way
